Acura Brings the Gemini AI Assistant to the ADX, MDX and ZDX Lineup
September 28 2026,
Talking to your Acura is about to become more conversational. Google Gemini is arriving in eligible Acura vehicles with Google built-in, taking the place of Google Assistant with an AI experience built to understand requests as people naturally phrase them. Eligible models include all 2025 and current MDX vehicles, all 2024 ZDX vehicles, and the 2026 and current ADX Platinum Elite A-Spec. Here is what the change means for owners.
Skip the Perfect Voice Command
Google Gemini is designed to understand context across multiple exchanges. Instead of carefully wording every request or repeating information, drivers can speak more naturally. Ask for a restaurant, add that you are travelling with a toddler, then refine what you want without starting the conversation over. Gemini can follow that context while helping drivers keep their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.

“Hey Google, Let’s Talk”
The addition of Gemini Live takes the experience beyond quick navigation or information requests. Drivers can start a free-flowing conversation by saying, “Hey Google, let’s talk.” From there, Gemini Live can help brainstorm for a meeting, plan a weekend getaway, find family-friendly activities, or summarize news while you are on the road.
AI That Gets Better at the Conversation
When signed into a compatible Google Account, Gemini can understand more nuanced questions, ask for clarification when necessary, and respond to layered instructions. Acura says the system will also improve automatically over time, making the experience more personalized and intuitive.
